These Five Players Will Be the Match Winners for MI vs SRH Tonight

In IPL matches, games often come down to individual heroics. It can only take a single innings of aggressive play, one over of unplayable fast bowling or a show-stopping diving catch to turn the game. In tonight's clash between MI and SRH, we have highlighted five players who will take the game into their own hands - batting, bowling or fielding in ways that will be crucial in deciding which side takes points and it will be shown at the platform i.e, Shiva Online Book.

1. Jasprit Bumrah (MI) - MI's Bowling God

No one is more important than Jasprit Bumrah. Ahmedabad-born 30-year-old Bumrah is easily the most impactful bowler in the IPL this season and is playing magnificently. Bumrah will almost certainly bowl the first over of the innings, a deadly cocktail of dot balls designed to restrict the range of the opening batsman and to put the SRH openers under immediate pressure. Against Travis Head he will bowl cleverly varied lengths – full enough to tempt Head to step forward and try to drive but with deceptive shorter balls (which his wildly unconventional action could conceal). His killer weapon, the late swinging yorker is available to attack against the leg spinner, but he can just keep it to the stumps at 95mph and that will cause problems too. Two early wickets from Bumrah and his bowling effort will effectively have won the game for MI if he is to bowl from the 18-20 over.

2. Suryakumar Yadav (MI) - the 360-Degree Maestro

The brilliance of SKY in T20 cricket is not just that he plays a great game - he thinks of each shot as an opportunity to do something special to the bowlers regardless of the pressure, or context of the game, and he has the technique to play all of the shots against all the bowlers. He will play the pace of Cummins intelligently - flicking over his long fine leg, or ramping down the middle. He will play conventional shots against spin but the unconventional slog-sweep, too, with devastating success. An innings of 60 to 80 by Suryakumar in this game would undoubtedly seal a win for MI.

3. Travis Head (SRH) - The good, the fine, the lefty

If there's one man capable of making an outstanding contribution to upsetting MI's bowling attack, it is Travis Head. The Australian has a remarkable capacity to smack the ball to every corner of the field - and to do it in the early balls of his innings, while the captain is re-arranging the field. Head has played some of the most memorable powerplay innings of the season this year, and often translates starts into match winning innings. He is, tonight, after getting past the first four overs of Bumrah, the game's greatest threat. MI know this. Bumrah knows this. Cricket knows this.

4. Rohit Sharma (MI) - The Rock

Amongst the run-scoring, fireworks and outrageous strike rates, it's sometimes easy to underestimate Rohit Sharma's brilliance. It's not only the runs he brings to the table: it is the pressure he relieves in the MI innings, his smart fielding within the confines of the powerplay and his ability to accelerate ideally between over 16 and 20 once the base has been laid down. Rohit will be playing late to Cummins: he has an excellent technique to absorb genuine pace - with footwork and the softest of knocks. A 45-55 from Rohit tonight where he withstands early pressure and goes for power at the end could be the answer for MI.

5. Pat Cummins (SRH) - The Captain

Pat Cummins' performance in the IPL has been above par. The Australian Test captain takes his game to the elite level in the IPL arena - he analyses rival batters to perfection, will bowl in the powerplay if he feels it's warranted in the situation, and doesn't let batters off the hook. Cummins is devastatingly effective against MI's lower order - his speed is more than they can handle (which is often the case coming in at 7 or 8), and his slow bouncer and low full-toss variations make him a tricky bowler. This match could be transformed by a three-for from Cummins tonight.

Conclusion

Bumrah is still the biggest individual match-winner of this game from among these five. His talent, experience and fitness is unmatched. Should Bumrah bowl his four overs as expected (two overs in the powerplay followed by two in the final overs) the Mumbai team will be close to unbeatable. SKY's lower order provides the final firepower, whilst Head's opening rollercoaster is the only hope for SRH and it might be changed. There could be any miracle so, be ready with your Shiva Online ID to play and enjoy the match at your comfort space.
